We had to have one of those talks today with Vanessa...you know, the things you shouldn't say to people because it might hurt their feelings? My mom had said something to her the other day about how she (my mom) was eating to many snacks and getting fat. Well, today, Vanessa said to her "if you get any fatter you would fill up the room!" Oy, so thankfully it was just grandma and she found humor in it, but we decided then and there we needed to discuss when it was better to just not say anything. I think she got it.

Just a couple of layouts to share today.

We have On the Go

And my first shot at one of those multiplicity photos- kinda like how this one turned out!

Have a great Friday, thanks for coming by!

Good morning!! We have learned that my little Robyn must just be accident prone...we had another door incident yesterday. This time her hand was shut in a door (on accident while playing with a friend), but oh- the scream she let out. I was positive we were going to be heading back to the emergency room again. But, thankfully- she seems to have made out with just a bruised and swollen finger. I think that it will be a miracle if we can go all summer without her going back to the emergency room! Maybe they (drs/nurses) made it too fun of an experience for her- getting to watch Sleeping Beauty and getting popsicles and all...LOL!

So, today the layout I have to share is using my May Scarlet Lime kit- really enjoying it, almost used it all up :) And, this pic of Vanessa with her flower pot just makes me smile.

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Some days I find myself pondering just how fast time goes by. I can't believe I have been married to Matt for 8 years, been running around with him for 12! And my little ones are getting bigger and more grown up- I feel like I blinked and here I am in the future...older, and not necessarily wiser LOL!
Just a little tribute today to my hubby- I am such a lucky lady to have him in my life!

I also got this layout to share from our trip to NYC

Have a great Wednesday!

Good Tuesday Morning (that feels like a Monday)! We had a wonderful weekend with just perfect weather. It was so nice to hang out around the house, plant some flowers, play with the girls, and just enjoy being a family. So, here are the pictures from our fun weekend!

Vanessa was gathering things for her "salad"- yummy cuteness!

Yummy popsicles!

Vanessa tending to her pot of flowers

The girls just HAD to have some pool time too!

my future model (heck, she already is a model LOL)

Robyn has become quite the talker (and less screeching too!)

Ah, the yummy white Sangria Matt made!! Next to some pretty flowers- seems to sum up the weekend pretty good. He also grilled the most delicious bbq salmon- delicious!

Vanessa is really proud of her flowers!

Silly sisters!

Oh and we can't forget the ice cream!

And Robyn's blue beard LOL

WOOT, it's Friday already and a long weekend too! Woot Woot! We are supposed to have some beautiful weather so I hope we are able to get out on our bikes and explore some parks with the girls.

And, here are a couple of layouts to share with you!

Vanessa flew a kite for the very first time last weekend and she took to it like a pro- and she really loved it!

And I just love this pics I got of Robyn the other day at the park- she is looking like such a big girl to me lately!

And I got this picture the other day of the girls together and think they are just so cute!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

I'm back! And what a fun time we had in NYC, but it sure is wonderful to be back home with my sweet little girls. Just thought I would share a few of the many pics from the trip. Funny how I took a lot of pics, but not near as many if we had the girls with us.
My King Kong with the Empire State Building in the background

Here we are on the Statton Island Ferry

and we saw the Statue of Liberty!

And it was VEEEEERY windy!

Times Square is quite the busy place

We both really like hangin' in Central Park for a bit

Thanks for stopping by- I should have a few new projects to share soon! Have a wonderful day!

Friday, May 16, 2008

yeah, so...I've not been too good about keeping the blog going this week. It happens- sick little girl, getting ready to go out of town, etc, etc....Yes, I mentioned going out of town! WOOT! Matt and I are heading to New York City on Sunday. We're doing the Stationery Show and also celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary! I'm really excited to get out without the girls. Yes, I will miss them, but they will be having lots of fun with grandma. And, again, the blog will likely be left here, all lonely without updates until I return...
Vanessa is still improving, but not well enough to go to school...I really want her to be her energetic self again before we leave. What an awful virus I tell ya!

Here's my layout for today. Wanted to get the "boo-boo incident" down and documented while it was still fresh in mind. And look at what a ham she was being showing off her band-aid to me and her hospital bracelet (Which by the way, she is STILL wearing- it's her "souviner" LOL)

Have a great weekend!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Hello Tuesday! Vanessa is still under the weather, poor thing. I hope she starts to perk up soon! Just thought I would check in and post a little layout I did with the same pictures I used for the mother's day mini books for the grandmas. It was fun! Just a collection of a few of my favorite photos of the girls from the past month.

I got my first kit from Scarlet Lime over the weekend! YAY! This kit was packed with scrappy goodness! Lovin' it so far. Here's a layout I did while the pumpkin was napping this morning. I looove that cool funky flower from the kit!

Have a good day! Thanks for stopping by!

Friday, May 09, 2008

Woot for Friday! I finished up this cute little project for my mom for mother's day. What grandma wouldn't love a little purse filled with their grandchild's pictures?!
I used a 7 Gypsies small purse accordion album kit, Pink Paislee papers, Making Memories letters, and a few scraps thrown in. I'm pretty sure she looooves this little gift for mother's day!

If I don't make it back before monday, Happy Mother's Day!

Thursday, May 08, 2008

Why is it that Thursday always takes me by surprise? Almost the weekend yay! I need to really get a couple of things done for the mothers before the weekend though...
We finally got some rain yesterday and today is one of those dreary days where it looks like rain, but never really does rain.
I'm also starting to get excited about going to New York next week! Matt and I are looking forward to spending our 8th anniversary somewhere fun and taking our first trip without the girls. Yes, I know we will miss them dearly, but they will be having fun with Grandma!

Here's a little layout for today. Lovin' the bright green of this Heidi Swapp flower- matches Vanessa's room perfectly. And that funny little grin on her face...

Hope you have a great thursday!

Wednesday, May 07, 2008

Good ol' Wednesday is here! I'm feeling like a proud mommy this morning. The girls are being good this morning and we got wonderful reviews from Vanessa's preschool teacher at the parent/teacher conference last night.
So, a little inspiration layout today- delicious ice cream!! The Zingerman's Creamery across the street makes this wonderful ice cream so we couldn't resist a trip over there the other day (this was pre-door injury times LOL)

Have a great day!

Good morning!

Looks like we are going to have another beautiful spring day here, gotta love that! I do have a couple of layouts to share today as well. I've noticed I have been really diggin' the oranges, yellows and greens lately- must be the spring air going to my head LOL!

Robyn looooves this ball of hers!

And I just adore this photo of Vanessa.

Hope your day is wonderful! Peace!

Monday, May 05, 2008

It's Monday again! And a beautiful, sunny one here YAY!

Had a pretty uneventful weekend after we got passed Robyn's emergency room visit Friday afternoon. She is very proud of her boo-boo silly girl, and she won't let me take off her hospital bracelet!

here she is showing me her band-aid

And here is a cute one of Vanessa contemplating what she wants to do

And they helped me pick out the dandelions from the yard

I don't have any scrappy projects to share today, I am working on a couple of mini albums for the grandma's mothers day presents. I am trying to do a layout a day over at 2 peas for this month, we'll see how I do with it.
So, here is my inspiration I am putting up for today. Maybe you will be inspired by it, maybe not- but I know that this is one place I would have loved to have been at- The Grateful Dead, 1967 in a park in Ann Arbor. Our friend gave this print to us and I am in love with it- and I now have a project that I am working on that is inspired by this photograph! I'll have to share it when it is all done.

Have a good day and thanks for stopping by!

Friday, May 02, 2008

Hooray, it's Friday!! We have a nice rainy day today, so my plans this afternoon to have the girls pluck the dandelion heads in the yard will have to be postponed. Maybe we will do a little crafting instead.

So, I got my hair cut AND colored! Check out my new picture over there...I have some funky streaks goin' on.

And a couple of layouts from the Dena Designs Clear Scrapbook kit that was featured today on QVC.

I just love this picture of Robyn at 4 months. Can't believe she isn't a baby anymore!

And I loved watching V run down this huge hill at the park- she did this forever and was exhausted by the time we got home- fun stuff!

Have a great Friday!

Thursday, May 01, 2008

I feel a day behind today from staying home with Vanessa yesterday. Doesn't seem like it should be Thursday already!

Today, is another little peek at one of the Dena Designs kit. This is tentatively set to be on QVC tomorrow and I honestly can't say enough good things about this little kit.

She is also going to have a nifty little cardmaking kit on that has a way cool card organizer book with it!
